Review of Bangkok Love Story (2007) by Rome O — 03 Jan 2010
This flick made me leaving the cinema in tears. Don't let the poster and the fact that there are 2 hunks kiising fool you. There is actually a wonderful story behind it.
My favorite part was Mhek's brother whos has AIDS. His struggles in livng a normal life in a world which is not nice to people with the said disease. This is what made a love of people crying their eyes out.
The scenes between Mhek and It are breathtaking. I would be very surprise two see to guys making out as I sit comfortably on the Skytrain. There relationship was believable. The passion was there...oh it was really there. Kindda makes you think...Are they gay? But no, they are straight actors and I'm very proud of them.
I don't often watch Thai flicks and I can't say that this is a best "gay-themed" movie yet after "Love of Siam" and "The Last Song". However, it has quality and the cinematography was great (it showed BKK's charm well) and pure not a waste of your time and money.
Kudos to all!
