Review of Bangkok Dangerous (2008) by Carlos P — 11 Jun 2010

I liked this movie. Its not a brilliant movie, not by any stretch of the imagination but a good action movie. It wasn't over the top, although it could be said to be a little cheesy in parts. The fight scenes were pretty cool and I really felt for the characters in the movie. It got to the point pretty quickly with very little background information which wasn't needed anyway. Just that he is a gun for hire and the rules of his trade.

It can be said though that this movie is a little (or a lot) cliched but that wasn't a problem for me because the storyline isn't overly deep and doesn't require a special performance to achieve its outcome. Just a few confident and quality actors would work just fine.

This is not Cages best performance... but it is far from his worst.
