Review of Bangkok Dangerous (2008) by Dean M — 09 May 2010
I'm feeling sorry for Nicolas Cage in this remake of 1999 Thailand action film with same two Chinese directors. Cage is distinctly average in this and the performances of the supporting cast aren't much better with the notable exception of Charlie Yeung, who delivers a fine performance as the deaf-mute love interest.
This film just suffers from an average and completely unoriginal script. Some scenes were very good, some very bad, the scale is balanced.
