Review of Bangkok Dangerous (2000) by Prasad P — 08 Nov 2008
The visually stylish and violent 1999 Thai-language original from the Pang Brothers does have its moments, specially in its trippy journeys through the streets of Bangkok and the uniqueness of its protagonist, Kong a deaf-mute assassin.
But the film does not know how to manage its emotional and human core, and that's where it fails. But the film is engaging and its visual imagery unforgettable. A good ride.
