Review of Bang Bang You're Dead (2003) by Kyle F — 24 Feb 2008
Powerful and moving story of a high school student named Trevor who, because of ridicule and bullying, turns to violence and scare tactics to get people to leave him alone. This film is an excellent study of what drives teenagers to violence and it does it brilliantly by looking at all the angles. The film was not simplified and it was portrayed with brutal honesty. It is both moving and chilling and I feel should be shown to every student, teacher and parent who have any ties to middle school and high school.
Besides the amazing script, the acting and editing of this film were equally brilliant. They really capture the feeling of high school life well in an entirely believable fashion. All of the characters were well acted, especially Ben Foster as Trevor. If you haven't seen this film, try to find it!
