Review of Bang Bang You're Dead (2003) by Slagana L — 22 Jul 2010
I first saw this movie in 2008 for a psychology class, and I was thoroughly impressed! Ben Foster portrays a disgruntled youth caught in the downward spiral of emotion after coming back from summer school to a school full of ruthless bullies whom he threatened to kill the year before.
Fore sure, his role isn't an easy one to cover but Mr. Foster does an amazing job bringing you down the rabbit hole. You see some dark motivations behind the complex character and get to see him transform into something more, thanks to the support of Tom Cavanagh's character.
I'm a huge fan of Tom's acting and this film is no different. He was made for the caring teacher role and plays it to the tee. I highly recommend this film to everyone but especially high schoolers who need to realize the pointlessness of the status quo of your teenage years.
