Review of Bandslam (2009) by Coree S — 28 Aug 2009
Slightly strange attempt to bring together audiences from High School Musical with the indie cool of Juno. Not entirely successful - there's what is at time quite a sharp script, variable performances - Hudgens just can't do angst and Bowie gives what might be his worst screen performance trying to play himself.
Plus the ending seems to be bizarrely ripped from Bring it on. Despite that, still interesting and quirky enough to be entertaining.
