I'd been kind of waiting for Band Slam to come out on DVD ever since I saw the previews for it a year or two ago. I'm a sucker for this kind of smart alec teen anxt pic, going all the way back to the 80s classics.
Truthfully though, it just doesn't quite work. "What was I expecting," you ask? Well my friend, there you have a point. It's sweet. It's formulaic. It's neither as funny nor as charming as I'd hoped.
And most of all it's just not as real. But it's an okay little teen movie.
