Review of Bandslam (2009) by Ghostshadow X — 16 Jan 2011
Never had any intention of watching this but somehow my buddy Paul convinced me it was a good idea.
It was different to how I imagined, you half expect the Jonas Brothers to appear just because Vanessa Hudgens is in the cast, but it wasn't tweenie like I thought it'd be.
Not entirely sure who this should have been marketed at, it's not a film for tweenies yet it's certainly not a film for adults either, which I think makes the soundtrack very confusing!
Some of the character bits were good, unfortunately we watched it so late that I kept nodding off, I think if I'd been paying attention parts may have even made me cry!
It was good, but if you're looking for an angsty "rock" drama may I suggest Almost Famous instead!
