Review of Bandits (2001) by David H — 20 Apr 2011
A great movie, mainly thanks to the incredible cast, the characters are made so funny and interesting that they are thoroughly entertaining to watch, particularly cate blanchett as quirky housewife cate wheeler who is caught in a love triangle between joe and terry, and billy bob thornton as terry, a suffering hypochondriac, which makes for a whole bunch of laughs; both give great performances.
The film is fresh and original and despite being too long for the material and repetitive, the film manages to stay afloat because of this great cast. The interaction between the characters is entertaining, and every character is quirky, but in different ways.
The premise is quite clever and the twist ending adds to the films intelligence and is quite shockingly admirable. Overall a funny film that is a great ride, you will love every minuite of this journey with these incredibly likeable criminals.
