Review of Band of Robbers (2016) by Cade H — 03 May 2016
Band of Robbers is a modern day Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer story, literally. Tom, Huck and friends decide to pull a small time heist in order to find a treasure map that leads to buried gold and then the situation turns into a big ordeal.
The characters are all pretty funny and they mesh together well. There are some fun actions scenes and while everything at first seems light hearted, toward the end it does get rather dark when the blood and bullets start flying.
It was a very basic tale with no real mystery or intrigue but Tom and Huck kept it interesting and it was fun to see how they worked in other characters and ideas from the original story. Band of Robbers may not blow your mind but it is a decent adventure,comedy that should please most.
