This movie had a hollywood/non hollywood ending and I don't want to give it away. it was better than most civil war movies of that era, which were usually slanted to sympathize with the traitors to the u.

S.a. this one leaned a little that way when they showed union troops hanging plantation owners, which was diametrically opposite general grant's orders. I liked this movie.
