Review of Band Aid (2017) by Ethan%20 G — 29 May 2017
A sincere and charming drama that touches on the bumps you experience when you are in a long committed relationship. Sharply written, wonderfully acted, and full of catchy toe-tapping songs. However, I have to say that the film takes a huge misstep in its third act by putting an out-of-place, dramatic scene, which almost ruins everything the two main characters have worked on in its two acts.
Luckily, it dusts itself off and gets back on the horse right after. Hats off to writer-director-star Zoe Lister-Jones for her directorial debut. "Band Aid" is nothing groundbreaking, but I found myself being charmed for the large portion of it.
