Review of Bananas!* (2009) by Alysia V — 22 Jul 2009
By far my least favorite Woody Allen movie that I've seen so far. I just thought it was way too over the top & stupid. The only part I found to be funny & that I really liked was when he first meets "Nancy" & their brief 15-20 minutes or so that their romance continued on.
If the entire movie could've been more like that then I would've adored it. "We fell in love. Well, I fell in love - she just stood there." <---love that line! Everything aside from that plot-line though just didn't interest me & though this film is already a short hour and 22 minutes, I kept wondering when it'd just be over.
Sorry Woody...you don't usually disappoint but I've got to say that with this film, you did.
