Review of Bananas!* (2009) by Aj C — 10 Aug 2009
Though its funny in parts, a lot of the humor is forced rather than spontaneous, and the witty satire that one has come to associate with Woody Allen is sorely missing here.
It feels like a series of gags written for a tv show, that were hastily and disjointedly put together to make a feature-length film, rather than an actual movie, and therein lies the problem.
