Another Allen masterpiece from the early 1970's, Bananas is a hilarious comedy that pulls no punches and leaves the viewer spent from laughter. Full of typical Allen dialogue and sight gags, the best part of this film is that almost everything works in comparison to some of his other comedies.
The opening sequence featuring an assassination as covered by Wide World of Sports is one of the funnier moments in film. Watch it now.
