Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Conor S — 27 Dec 2007
The word satire is actually defined by the main character in the opening scene, and that is exactly what this movie is. A bit heavy-handed at times (Michael Rappaport's ghetto loving network head gets to be a bit much) but the last hour of this movie is something special.
The sad thing is, 7 years later and during a writer's strike, "Mantan's New Millenium Minstrel Show" sounds like it could actually qualify as a mid-season replacement.
