Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Konrad S — 25 Jul 2010
Great stuff from one of the most fascinating American directors. Due to the shooting in video art convention, this satirical drama gets deeper than it would get otherwise. It takes you on a journey around trend setting mind of a black TV producer, who is desperate to be a voice of a new black middle class.
Unfortunately he becomes a prey of a must-cutting-edge white boss (with two biracial kids :D), who gives him a great mission to create a brand new show about "niggas", which becomes a greatest controversy of the season.
As response from the world changes from very negative at first to super positive at the end, all characters develop their own personal dramas... great stuff!
