Review of Bambi II (2006) by Ashley H — 26 Apr 2008
I've seen the first movie just 2 years ago (I have never actually seen it in my childhood), and it was the most boring piece of shit-crap I have ever seen.
When I saw the commercial of this second movie, I got curious because it seemed like a movie with more ''action''.
Especially compared to Bambi itself, it was.
The first Bambi is all looks and animation, it was supposed to be an animated documentary. It's not a movie I want to see a second time.
"Bambi 2" is a movie with an actual plot, even though it's sad to see that all the children of the characters from the previous movie have no special looks whatsoever, and basicly look the same like how their dads did.
In the real animal world that might apply, but for my feeling it didn't give these children anything special.
It was nice to see a different deer walking through the woods; too bad he reminded us too much of our lovely black lion-friend called Kovu from "The Lion King 2".
Bambi junior was just young Simba with the female deer being his best friend Nala, who shuts up just as much as she did.
The songs weren't even slightly good, but that's alright, because the songs in the first Bambi were awful too.
With the old Bambi turned into an adult boring piece of office-fart (just like the grown up Simba in the Lion King 2), there was not exactly much to enjoy about him either.
But this movie gets an 8 for the Kovu-deer.
