Review of Bambi (2013) by Michael H — 21 Mar 2012
Bambi is now released in Amazing 1080p HD with freshly cleaned animation from the early 40's. Bambi is not my favorite disney film, but it cerntainly is a good film. Bambi is a newborn deer who is going to be the next prince of the forest. What happens? With a time limit of 69 minutes barely counting for a theatrical release not much. He falls in love, he proves his abillities to be a prince for a short time, has friends... nothing really else. The music is the dialoge as the dialoge is very light in this film. The music is great erasing sound efx with music.
The animation is beautiful using a special system combining at least four panels of drawings at once. But the film is to short feeling like there was not much story when there was. If the film was 20-30 minutes longer the writers could have made it a bit more complex. Still, Bambi is not dated. Rent or Buy.
82/100 B.
