Review of Bambi (1942) by Ken S — 06 Dec 2011

Of the first five Disney features, the last, Bambi, has by far the best animation. The team behind these films found perfection here. There are times that the cell animation looks almost real. Some fantastic artists were clearly involved.

I never cared for Bambi as a kid, never sat and watched the whole thing through, but seeing it now...I can see it is truly a great piece of work. It has some great characters too. But the real winner of Bambi will always be the animation.
