Review of Balto (1995) by Jim S — 31 Oct 2008
Balto, like most films "Based on a true story," cannot be used as a history lesson: Balto was a purebred Siberian Husky owned by a Scandinavian sled driver, who was really only one of many teams that relayed precious medicine to Diphtheria stricken Nome.
All that aside, it a damn good adventure. The artwork is beautiful, from, expressive, all-too human animals to the majestic Arctic vistas.
