Review of Balls of Fury (2007) by Daniel Y — 11 Mar 2009
Utterly ridiculous.
This is one of those movies that you have to have zero expectations going into it in order to enjoy it. That, plus several beers. It's one nonsense scene after the next. The acting is so-so, at best. Anyone who likes Christopher Walken even a bit less than his fanboys is not going to be impressed by his performance this time. Maggie Q is hot; no nudity of course, though. 2 stars because:
1. The movie, though ridiculous, flows pretty well. There were some laughable moments.
2. Maggie Q is hot, and her martial arts scenes were entertaining.
3. Fewer points for no nudity.
If it's a choice between this movie and "Beerfest", choose "Balls". Otherwise, leave it alone; you're not missing much.
