Review of Balls of Fury (2007) by Nathan C — 13 Sep 2012

While relentlessly dumb, this martial-arts sports comedy is a funny and entertaining flick. If you're expecting a good time from a ridiculous combination of people taking the game seriously and the movie's Oriental sensibilities, then this movie's the one for you.

Christopher Walken (in yet another bizarre performance... that needs more cowbell) steals the entire movie from everyone else's nose. Offbeat humor, fun ping-pong/action scenes, and a nice tribute to Def Leppard completes things.

Overall, it's not quality material for a comedy (well, there's more ridiculous movies that are better), but it's still enjoyable fluff.
