Review of Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002) by J. Harry C — 14 Sep 2007
Typical action movie, with healthy doses of explosions and collateral damage. Not much dialogue, but hats off to the director and his two stars for pulling that off (though such a choice drew the ire of many critics).
Kaosayananda places his cameras well and the action sequences were well executed, particularly the bit in the middle with Ecks rescued by Sever and the related stuntwork and explosions. Oh, and there's not much of a story either, with the bare minimum revealed to give it something to string it together, but what do you expect from an action movie? And considering the storyline, whoever named the movie should be shot.
