Review of Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002) by Brent S — 07 Apr 2011
What crap. Although I greatly admire Lucy Liu, who I really hated when she first became famous, she really does try hard and since I refuse to watch the Charlier's Angel movies, this is as close as I'll get to seeing her butt kicking form. And it is good. A lot less cuts than things like Rai fighting in the Last Siege (or whatever that was called) or Halle Barry in Catwoman. But this movie is almost unbearable.
The last scene starts with what was probably 20 minutes without dialogue, which wasn't a reference to The Red Circle. I think they just didn't have anything good to say. And when you think this is based on a video game, this is an unnecessarily messy story, that never really gets you excited for the action or performances. But at least you get to see Ray Park do some stuff.
