I really wanted to like this movie, but it was too disjointed and I did not feel connected to the characters at all. I has pleasantly surprised to see that Emma could pull off a role without being Hermoine, but I'd rather see her with a more mature part.
Sometimes she suited the character perfectly, other times it felt forced. There was nothing really about ballet shoes, so no clue why the movie was called that ... and the ending... sheesh!
