Pretty grim stuff and not always gripping. I suppose, it's main strength would have to be its realism.
But then why did Marlee fail to notice Lawrence's incredible integrity and bravery? Were they simply new found qualities? If so, that sounds a little miraculous. -- And that would undermine the movie's main strength.
