Review of Ballast (2008) by Scott M — 18 Sep 2010
A heartbreaking, realist tale of life in the Mississippi Delta. The story is quietly and subtly told and stars a host of amateurs who all give great performances. Would probably work well as a double feature alongside Shotgun Stories (another great independent film done in a similar style).
I've been waiting a while to see this and I wasn't disappointed.
