Review of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) by Karthik C — 18 Jul 2015
BAJIRANGI BHAIJAAN -A Must see Salman's Film.
I would like to share my experience of watching this wonderful film. I was never a fan of Salman. I was forced to go to this film because of my friends. Given the kind of films that Salman does - over the top, cheesy & double meaning dialogues etc.. I didn't want to go to this film as I expected this would be of that kind.
After watching the film, I was taken aback and I had tears in my eyes by the time the film ended. Its a simple, clean film filled with emotions and warmth.
No irrelevant songs or scenes. Its one of the best films of this year.
The film basically works because of many reasons - strong script filled with right emotions without going over the top or making it into a caricature.
Performances - Salman khan is the heart of the film and has given the best/mature performance of his career.
Kareena kapoor - Thanks to kareena for accepting this role. Though she has little to do, what ever she does, she inculcates the right kind of wisdom into Pavan's (salman) head when he refuses to help the girl.. She is not the usual kind of heroine you see in films.
Nawaz - He steals the show right from the first scene and in the second half he stands out and takes the film to an other level.
Om Puri - He is a man with golden heart, though being a Muslim (in the film), he treats every religion with respect. You just wanna hug him when he says ' Jai Shree Ram.'.
Harhsaali - This little cute girl is the soul and purpose of the film. Angelic face and right kind of expression that she gives makes you fall in love with this girl.
The scenes between Salman and Harshaali are the highlights.
I have seem few people hating this film and making comments about Salman khan saying that he is a killer and blah blah. Its very foolish to judge a film based on a person's personal life. It has go nothing to do with a good film. Salman no matter what kind of person he is, has backed up a good film and has performed well, so we should appreciate him as an actor instead of commenting about his personal life.
.Those are the people who usually likes non sense, masala no brainers. SORRY guys, this film is not for fools like you.
This film establishes the relationship between India and Pakistan in a very beautiful way. There are many scenes in the film where people have given standing ovation and clapped.
I would give 5/5 just because this film blew my mind as I went with zero expectations and it changed my perception towards life.
Thank you BAJIRANGI BHAIJAAN. This film just wants you to be a better person. Feeling blessed.
