Review of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) by Peter J — 24 Mar 2016
Overtly long but touching and beautifully shot tale about the journey of an Indian country boy (an unusually restricted Salman Khan) who tries to reunite a lost 6-year old mute girl with her family in Pakistan.
The real star is child actress Harshaali Malhotra who has a very engaging screen presence even without any dialogue. An exceptional performance! The movie also is successful in portraying the tensions between India and Pakistan in a humane, conciliatory way.
The strong soundtrack is an added bonus.
