Review of Baise-moi (2000) by Rod E — 16 Oct 2007
It's like Tarantino and Remy Belvaux ("Man Bites Dog") teamed up to make a pornographic version of Thelma and Louise. Brutal realism mingles with explicit sexuality, splintered Eros and fragmented bodies - this film illuminates the death/sex paradox in a complex brew of style, action, social commentary and as cool a soundtrack as Terminal City Ricochet.
The most original blurring of the pornographic and indie/arthouse film genres since Caligula.
