Jason Bateman is quite good in this laboured comedy, as is Rohan Chand as the young wannabe champion. However, there is a mean streak that runs through this film that's a bit unsettling, which takes away from the comedy and makes it very black at times and not really in a good way.

That's a flaw in the direction which takes away from what I was hoping would be a good movie....but it just plays out as mediocre.
