Although I can't remember a Jason Bateman film that I haven enjoyed, I think the studio dropped the ball on this one when it came to distribution. Had this film come out one week before Noah or perhaps even two weeks before Noah, then it would have surged to the top as there was really nothing out for a few weeks before Noah.
Even when Noah came out, you also had the Grand Budapest Hotel and Cesar Chavez, two excellent films. This film, however, seemed more like a DVD film than anything else.
