An ill-tempered 40-year-old (Jason Bateman) enters a series of spelling bees for 9-years-olds without telling anyone why (including the audience). Who thought it was a good idea to make a scatological R-rated movie with most of it directed at kids? A comedy of low expectations and a weak pay-off.
