Review of Bad Words (2013) by Bradley W — 22 Jul 2014
It couldn't be more fun watching Jason Bateman stick it to one of the most pointless competitions on Earth. Yes, this film is extremely, gut-wrenchingly funny at times. Each time Bateman psychs out a component (which is always a child), or confronts an angry naysayer is absolute comedic gold and his friendship with the adorable Rohan Chand is one of the films strong points believe it or not.
That said, the plot is kind of meh, and the ultimate reason why Bateman is doing this is incredibly petty. Bad Words is an incredibly dirty but surprisingly sweet success.
