Strange and weird movies are something I certainly like, when they are done really well. I left Bad Times at the El Royale kind of shaking my head. First off it is a slow burn for the first half of the movie, and then with a literal WHAM, it is off and running.
This is an intense character drama, that I feel like you will either like, or be totally turned off by it. My wife was the latter. Me I liked the music (there was almost too much) and the story enough to give it a mildly positive review.
