Review of Bad Teacher (2011) by Eris . — 06 Mar 2012
Bad Teacher is, put simply, nothing special. With the Cameron Diaz character, are we honestly supposed to believe she is the main protagonist of the movie? You would think poor Justin Timberlake, whom I wonder what bet he lost to star in this, was the real star.
Hell, even Jason Segal makes a more convincing hero. But maybe that is the point with Diaz being the villainous hero. Lucy Punch as Amy Squirrel is one teacher I would like to have but at the same time would not.
Overly enthusiastic teachers creep me out. Bad Teacher tries to be serious at some points but it really is hard to take seriously with the crude and bland humor. Now I won't deny at a few points the humor amused me but as a whole, there are much better comedies out there then Bad Teacher.
Sorry Diaz, you are better off in Shrek. By the way, what the hell is Sympatico? 6/10.
