Despite the crude language and the rather selfish lead character, Bad Teacher follows its own path; a rude, sweary, undoubtedly mean lead played charmingly by Cameron Diaz, being a teacher no film has ever really had, the engrossing and hilarious performance of Lucy Punch as a energetic teacher, and even some boobs are in this.
Some of this isn't funny but the spirited performances by Diaz, Segal, and Punch propel the film further than it should be.
