Review of Bad Seeds (2018) by Dawdlingpoet — 22 Nov 2021
I found this a somewhat touching film, although the plot pace is slow and its hardly an exciting watch, the story is interesting and the character of Wael particularly interested me. I suppose you could say the main themes are companionship and survival to an extent, not so much in a life or death sort of a way but in a day to day, muddling by sort of a way.
Towards the end, I thought it was quite touching and I found it an interesting watch overall. A good film thats worth a watch, if your ok with subtitles as its in French of course. I've noticed I quite like French films after seeing a few via Netflix - this being just one example. There's a certain aspect of humanity and sometimes even of capturing taboo subjects that they seem to capture quite well I think. Would I recommend it? yes I would.
