Review of Bad Santa (2003) by Gustavo G — 08 Jan 2015
A comedy classic that had me rolling on the ground. For myself not being the biggest fan of comedy (takes a lot for movies to make me laugh) this is one of the better comedies of the last decade. It takes a loveable subject such as Santa and the charm of Xmas and turns it around into a crude, vile, disgusting display of vulgarity.
Billy Bob Thorton plays an alcoholic heistman who has a midget partner who plays the elf as they go to malls.
He gets hired at various malls to be Santa then pulls a heist.
He's a drunk and has a mouth like a sailor.
He randomly forms a relationship with a young kid who lives in a mansion with his grandma who is obvious to everything. Eventually Thorton takes up shop in the boys house. ..
The movie isn't for everyone and it's definitely not for kids. But he kills his role and it's funny seeing such a kind object like Santa being turned upside down...
Halarious.
