Seriously? After 13 years *this* is the best they can do? The first Bad Santa had something special - a certain charm and wit. Sure it was vulgar as all hell and totally out there. Maybe that's what made it unexpected fun. Something "magical' happened and it clicked in a way that I didn't expect it to. It remains a twisted, fun Christmas classic... well, to me and a few others, at the very least.

All that made the first one special is gone in this one. It's not that we know the storyline or the characters.. it's just a pale shadow of the first one. Sure, there might be a chuckle here or there - but, so very little of this movie worked that it was almost the funny part of it all. The potential of a returning Billy Bob along with Kathy Bates and Christina Hendricks to give us a sequel worthy of the Bad Santa name was ruined with this obvious attempt at a cash-in that we got.
