Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Brian C — 08 Aug 2016
A lot better than Nerve and a lot more funny and engaging. Perhaps that's because this movie is geared toward 30 somethings. I'm going to be 32 in a couple of weeks. I don't have 10 year old kids.
Nerve is for stu teenagers who need to get off my lawn and stop playing a stupid Pokemon game. The film is genuinely funny but I feel like I've seen it before. The story is pretty basic but again, it is funny.
It's a comedy. I laughed a lot. I like looking at Mila Kunis, even though she is looking older too. Parts of the film do drag, and it's as if the screenwriters forgot they were making a comedy and just had.
.. had to throw in the sappy parts. That's not saying it's a bad movie, though there isn't any new ground broken here. There are boobs and a whole lot of "F" bombs (it is rated R).
Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday night. I also just solved a geocache puzzle that's been bothering me for two days so I got that going for me now. 3.5 stars out of 5.
