Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Kayleah T — 07 Dec 2016
"Bad Mom's" brings to light to pressures mothers feel everyday to be "good moms". In attempt to keep up with the other "good moms", Amy is burning herself out. Caring for two kids and a childish husband, working and being heavily involved in the children's lives, Amy's accomplishments and overachievements depict her life as "perfect".
When Amy finds her husband has been cheating on her over the Internet, the failing marriage and lost love that lead to divorce, brings Amy to the realization that it is okay to not be perfect. Teaming up with two new friends, Amy sets out to prove to the other moms of PTA that moms are still human and it is okay to make mistakes and not always know what you are doing.
Not babying her teenage children, like the rest of the mothers did, did not make Amy a "bad mom". She still loved and provided for her children and as a result both her and her children grew as individuals and as a family.
