Review of Bad Lieutenant (1992) by Pavandeep S — 04 Dec 2008
I like how when you see films and when you read and watch more paintings and you keep doing it, you realize how important and facile stories are at the same time, a story is a story, it's how you tell it, portray it.
This film is really fine t portraying it, never wavering from its theme of redemption in its most harsh and clinical fashion and using the most simple tools but playing the mise-en-scene to perfection for such commonly mannered storytelling.
Keitel is my favourite actor and this is one of his masterpieces.
