When I first sat down to watch this film in 1992 I fell asleep at the opening credits and awoke at the closing ones. After watching it a second (first?) time I now know why. The plot is pretty pointless and really just documents the downfall of a corrupt cop, however Harvey Keitel's performance is brilliant as always.
