Review of Bad Lieutenant (1992) by Brandon S — 30 Aug 2009
Keitel is perfectly cast. Ferrara's direction is a little much (I'm not sure how you should film the rape of a nun, but intercutting it with shots of Jesus crying on the cross is a bit much). Together, though, they produce a pretty excellent portrait of a man trying to fight the battle between his own personal good and evil.
