Review of Bad Lieutenant (1992) by Jason R — 07 Oct 2009
Harvey Keitel gives a gripping performance as a drug and alcohol addicted cop who is in over is head as he slowly spirals toward rock bottom, and as if to add insult to injury the Lieutenant owes $60,000 to a bookie who is out for blood, and the rape case he is working on is slowly eating away at the little bit of morality he has left in his fried out brain.
Bad Lieutenant takes the anti-hero plot line to a whole different and disturbing level as he is anything but a hero, just a sad and messed up shell of a former cop.
