Ferrara's "Bad Lieutenant" gives an emotionally intense performance from Harvey Keitel. It's an almost-religious film that isn't afraid to hide the ill effects of drug addiction and the sexual frustration that comes with it.
This hidden gem is one that deserves more recognition.
