It's true that Harvey Keitel's performance is the driving force of this movie. If anyone else was in this role, it wouldn't be worth sitting through. Add in that in 1992 this would have been a pretty shocking movie, you get a film that's worth sitting through at least once, but I can't really say it warrants repeat viewings.
I can understand it's cult classic standing, though. It makes you wonder what happened to Keitel as he's all but fallen off the map these days.
